Financial Assistant with project focus (32 hours)

At the TBP Group we design environments where people live, move, and meet. We always look at the bigger picture and approach issues with an open mind. But let's be honest: that grand vision only truly comes to fruition when the organization behind it is rock solid. And that is where you come in as a financial employee.

About the position

You are not only the guardian of the numbers, but the navigator who ensures that our projects stay on track financially.

Your role as a financial employee:

You are the one who ensures that our administrative foundation is rock-solid. Because we consist of various companies within the TBP Group, your work is challenging and varied. You handle the complexity of different entities with ease; you ensure that the right costs end up in the right place and that everything runs smoothly.

What exactly are you going to do?

  • You are responsible for the complete administration of all entities, from booking purchase invoices and bank statements to processing credit cards.
  • You manage payment transactions by reconciling payment lists weekly and preparing the SEPA files after approval.
  • You will handle the full invoicing and active accounts receivable management for the TBP Group and the underlying (3) companies.
  • You perform the monthly project invoicing between the various entities (including TBP, MMA, Scope, and Sustain).
  • You handle payroll administration, including the processing of journal entries and the registration of absences in Exact and XpertSuite.
  • You monitor payments to the Tax and Customs Administration and keep the central payment overview up to date.
  • You manage time tracking and monitor costs per project. You understand that in an architectural firm, hours are our most important asset.
  • You analyze the project results and advise the project leaders on progress and budgets.
  • You prepare reports that keep the board and project leaders sharp, so that we are always 'in control'.
  • As a growing organization, we expect you to contribute ideas on how we can make our financial processes smarter and more efficient.

You will be given a broad role with significant responsibility. You are not only operationally responsible but also assume an overarching, advisory role. In this, you will work closely with Jelle (Operational Director of the TBP Group). Together, you ensure that our financial foundation is just as impressive as the buildings we design.

What are you bringing:

  • You are meticulous and get energy from records that are accurate down to the last euro.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within financial administration.
  • You have a relevant, completed MBO or HBO education in the field of finance.
  • You enjoy bridging the gap between the numbers and the creative operation.
  • You are proactive: you see where improvement is possible and take action independently.
  • You handle the changes associated with a growing organization well.
  • You have experience with project administration and various entities, or the ambition to learn this quickly.

What we offer you:

  • A good salary based on your knowledge and experience (in accordance with scale 4 or 5 of the SFA collective labor agreement).
  • The opportunity to work 32 hours per week.
  • Working from our renovated monumental building in Rotterdam-West.
  • Training and development opportunities with an annual budget of €1,000.
  • You will join a close-knit and enthusiastic team of approximately 35 colleagues, where an open culture and short lines of communication are central.
